Nick Cernese is a Principal at Ernst & Young LLP with EY Consulting practice and presently serves as the EY Global Consulting Life Sciences Sector Leader, setting strategy and direction for over 10,000 consultants serving the world's largest pharmaceutical, biotech and medical technology companies. As a member of EY Global Health Sciences & Wellness Industry Market Leadership team, Nick is a key contributor to the member firm’s strategy and external thought leadership and a frequent speaker as part of industry panels and roundtables on trends, disruption and innovation shaping the Health and Life Sciences industry.
In addition, Nick serves as the EY Global Consulting Account Leader for Johnson & Johnson. In this role, Nick is responsible for EY global relationship with J&J for all advisory and consulting services across all of J&J’s geographies and sectors, including process improvement, business strategy, information technology, and audit and compliance services, with teams serving J&J in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Nick has served J&J since 2007 and has led multiple projects within Finance, IT, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Compliance for J&J Corporate and various franchises across the Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and Consumer sectors.
Nick has over 20 years of consulting and business advisory experience working with global companies engaged in large-scale information technology and business transformation projects. He is seasoned in program advisory services included finance transformation, process re-engineering, shared services design and implementation support, organizational change management strategy, information systems implementation support, statutory and regulatory controls design and compliance, and global program management.
Prior to joining EY in 2002, Nick began his career at another Big Four accounting organization, where he focused on program risk management, process audits and internal controls design in support of large technology-enabled transformation programs.
Nick holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from the College of Arts & Sciences at Boston University. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
