Emilie Davidson Hoyt is the Founder and CEO of LATHER, a natural skincare and wellness company that makes products with zero synthetic fragrance. Growing up, Emilie suffered from severe migraines. A natural pioneer, she took her remedy into her own hands - exploring the world and gathering natural
ingredients to formulate skincare products that had potent, positive effects. After many trials and tests, Emilie was able to determine that her headaches were being triggered by synthetic fragrance. Both relieved and alarmed with her findings, Emilie poured her passion for wellness and aromatherapy into
LATHER. She opened the brand’s first store in Pasadena, CA in 1999. A true trailblazer in the natural fragrance space, Emilie takes cues from nature, infusing her line of products with real ingredients and pure essential oils. Twenty-one years later, Emilie is the proud owner of many successful LATHER
stores nationwide, including Atlanta, Fairfax, Long Beach, Pasadena, Phoenix and San Ramon. LATHER products can also be found in hundreds of boutiques,
hotel properties, spas and resorts worldwide. A long-time supporter of the National Headache Foundation for migraine awareness and education, Emilie is a recipient of the organization’s Patient Partners and Golden Trumpet Awards. A member of the Young Presidents Organization and a leader in the industry, Emilie has spoken on panels for Expo West, Global Wellness Day, Pasadena Magazine Women’s Summit and more. Emilie is a graduate of Pepperdine University. She currently lives in Pasadena with her husband, Rob, and two children.
