Gauri has been working on project finance transactions for the past 17 years focussing mainly on the power and renewables sector and played a pivotal role in establishing NatWest's credentials in the UK and has also been driving the growth into Europe.

She has been involved in structuring and arranging market leading deals across a range of sectors including onshore and offshore wind, biomass, WtE, solar and thermal generation. Recent relevant landmark projects include Project Mistral which is the £1.3bn onshore wind portfolio refinancing in Europe, £680m Ventient Energy refinancing of 711MW onshore wind portfolio, £450m Jupiter solar portfolio refinancing for Octopus Energy, £1.4bn refinancing of 50% stake in Race Bank offshore windfarm and £1.4bn refinancing for Galloper offshore windfarm led by Innogy. In waste to energy, she led on the 21.5MWe Earls Gate WTE project in Scotland with total debt of £155m owned by Brockwell Energy and GIG/Covanta and on biomass she led on the financing of Lynemouth Power plant for EPH, where Natwest was a key structuring bank. Her in-depth energy market expertise has also been vital in understanding new sectors such as batteries.
