Geoff spent almost 30 years conducting scientific research in an academic environment developing his skills as a molecular biologist and biotechnologist, with 13 years dedicated to the study of the bacterial DNA replication, recombination and repair. In 2014, he left the academic world to join Walgreens Boots Alliance, and has spent the last 6 years discovering, evaluating and developing new technologies in consumer skincare; focussing on beauty devices and consumer diagnostic services. A meeting with Marie Drago (founder of Gallinée) introduced Geoff to the wonderful world of the skin microbiome, and he has been instrumental in the development of the WBA skin microbiome strategy. Part of the Skincare Innovation team, he helps people transform their skin health and skin longevity in ways they never thought possible, drawing upon the knowledge he gained during his academic career with his new insight into the commercial world.
