• Biotechnology Ph.D. candidate from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile. Before starting my Ph.D, I worked for three years as a process engineer in a bioreactor manufacturing company in the areas of R&D, design and prototyping. With this background I have been focusing in the last years in answering questions and setting baselines about the process scaling criteria for bacteriophage production, which involves a combination of basic phage biology, infection dynamics, and the use of mathematical models, population biology and simulation to design scalable phage replication procedures for the development of cocktails.
