Berthold Hinzen is Vice President and Head of Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) at Bayer AG Pharmaceuticals and has 21 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Before joining the BD&L group, he was Senior Director Strategic Marketing Cardiology and Director in Medicinal Chemistry. Berthold Hinzen holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the ETH Zurich, Switzerland. After a Post-Doc at the University of Cambridge, UK, he joined Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Research in 1998.

Berthold is responsible for BD&L in the therapeutic areas Gynecology, Radiology and New Spaces.
